Luna Online

Welcome on Free Multiplayer Games! Today about awesome free MMORPG, Luna Online! Luna Online is new Korean MMORPG that has recently made its way to the US market. With very cute, bright graphics Luna Online encourages socializing with a built in match making system that pairs boys and girls based on their likes and dislikes. The main thing to do in Luna Online is to evolve your profession tree that has a total of 52 classes which branch out from 3 base jobs we select during character creation. Game is really entertaining and is probably for younger players, but I enojeyed gamaplay and social interaction - yeah I’m old but I can say that game is cute :-)

(Luna Online Trailer)

As you can see, Luna Online is inspired by japanesse manga/anime style, just like other popular free MMORPG, Maple Story. Luna Online allows players to form Families and purchase farm land to cultivate together.
What is cool you can also have date :D. Your reward for a successful date will be a date-exclusive item, and potentially a chance at marriage and starting a “family” which will let you then adopt other characters as your “children”. Families can obtain farms and very rare land plots that can produce resources and greatly enhance crafting, and they can also get into in-game fishing, a mini-game that will reward players for collecting fish from randomly-generated catches.

Also in game exist special “cash-op” (an in-game store) where you can either rent or purchase more-powerful items, or to purchase booster potions that will temporarily increase your rate of experience point gain by 50%, 100%, or 200%. Of course for real money.

The Chronicles of Spellborn

Welcome on Mutiplayer Online Games. Today about great MMORPG, created by Acclaim, called The Chronicles of Spellborn. Game is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, where we can explore large, devastated fantasy world, called “The Time of the Enclave”, 998 years after the shattering of the world. Four main Shards are available for exploration. The game isn’t click-monster-kill-repeat. You have to dodge the attacks in order to not get hurt and aim your bow, spell, sword etc. Well, graphic is really incredible, especially with settings maxed. The game uses a highly tweaked Unreal 2 engine (”Unreal 2.5″) and though the engine shows its age through the relatively low poly-count, features full HDR & bloom effects and some high quality textures. If you like multiplayer online games, you will like The Chronicles of Spellborn, most important thing is that game is available for free.

The Chronicles of Spellborn offers only 2 races and we can choose between 9 classes separated into 3 main archetypes

(Exteel trailer)

You can beat enemies with any plasma swords, rifles, rockets, SMGs and other awesome and deadly weaponry - Exteel has the huge amount of various weapons, armor, skills and parts available to purchase in the game’s store. EvE Online

Welcome on Multiplayer Online Games. Today something about great space MMO - Eve Online, game created CCP Games. EvE is first massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in a science fiction space setting. Taking place 20,000 years in the future, the fictional background story of Eve Online explains that long ago humankind, having used up most of Earth’s resources, began colonizing the rest of the Milky Way. Player is controling his own starship and travel through galaxy. Each Eve Online account allows for up to three characters to be made.

In EVE, your skills progress based on a real-time clock. These training timers can be altered based on character stats – determined via starter stats, cybernetic implants, and some other skills. So no more pointless farming like in World of Warcraft or other MMORPGs.

(EvE Online Gameplay)

Official money in EvE Online are called ISK, you can earn this currency by mining, selling recourses or pirating. PvE in EvE is related to mining, ruining missions or kill pirates at local asteroid belts.
Mining involves the harvesting of various minerals, gasses, or ices. Well, mining is really boring, so if you want some action, you should focus on Player vs. Player features.

Piracy (in-game, you know Arrr stuff ;-) is part of the game, as is protection racketeering, theft, and ransom -in EvE Online, players can do whatever they want! CCP is not involving into any kind of in-game interventions. Their main idea is to create, self-creating world with all power for the players. Case is controversial because, there were really huge scams in EvE Online, which create a wave of controversy.
Well, gamers are able to participate in any number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, manufacturing, trade or exploration.

2Moons graphic is really awesome and game is totally action-packed. I was also very pleased with helpful community, and handy interface. Multiplayer Online Games - EverQuest

Welcome on Multiplayer Online Games - Blog. Second part, EverQuest 2 was released in late 2004. Game is set in universe very similar to that related to original EverQuest, but this “sequel” takes place 500 years after the awakening of great ghost dragon Kerafyrm, The Sleeper.

I would like to talk about character creation in EverQuest, well in my opinion you should carefully pick your character because there is many option to play in EQ. Anyway check out this cool video.

(character creation in EverQuest 2)

There are really many classes but there are four archetypes on the beginning (just like in Lineage 2) - Fighter, Scout, Priest and Mage. You can pick class after level 10 and sub-class at level 20. Well each archetype has 3 classes and each class has 2 subclasses so, for the example Mage has classes, Sorcerer, Summoner, Enchanter. Sorcerer’s subclass is Wizard and Warclock, Summoner can be Conjuror or Necromancer, Enchanter - Illusionist and Coercer.
As you see, your character can be improved in various way and sometimes is very hard to decide which way is best.
My first character, called Predator, was Fighter - Warrior - Berserker, later i played as Mage - Summoner - Necromancer and later Scout - Predator - Assassin. Anyway I still want to check out other classes and subclasses :-). This game was know for many classes, compared to other multiplayer online games.

Before you install the game, make sure that your system meets the following requirements:

Age of Conan and brilliant thieves

Welcome on Multiplayer Online Games. Today something about stupidity.. Well, stupidity is very interesting aspect of behavior, scientist think that most of tragic deaths in work are related to stupid act or thought. Why I’m writing about that?

Thieves in the United Kingdom (you probably know this country in Europe) city of Bradford stole around 4,000 retail copies of Age of Conan: Hyborian adventures from the back of a truck late at night on Wednesday the 28th of October. Telegraph & Argus, original source of this interesting news, claims that thefts stole XBOX 360 version of Age of Conan but this it’s must be an error.

Brave Police forces are trying to track down the thieves, but this should be very easy, police should just wait when thieves register with a credit card number and other personal information… Well i presume that they aren’t realized that when they stole boxes with Age of Conan ;-)

(Age of Conan Trailer)

Well i hope there will be some kinda information about this case in the future. Even they sell few boxes of this game, police find player who have stolen copy, ask him where he bought it or something and case will be closed…

Three stand-alone episodes and one expansion pack were released in the series from April 2005 to August 2007.
Guild Wars provides two main modes of gameplay—a cooperative role-playing component and a competitive player vs. player (PvP) component—both of which are hosted on ArenaNet’s servers. The games depict the history of the fictional fantasy world of Tyria, each campaign focusing on events in disjoint sections of the world, but roughly parallel in time. Like in other multiplayer online games, in GW we can create in game avatar and travel through very large world. Gamers can group with other gamers and non-player characters (NPC), known as henchmen or heroes, to perform missions and quests found throughout the game-world (just like in World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online or Lord of the Rings Online).

Guild Wars has 4 expansions released in April 28, 2005 (Prophecies), April 28, 2006 (Factions), October 27, 2006 (Nightfall), August 31, 2007 (Eye of the North). Game is still very popular and player has great opportunity to discover very large world of PvP and online role playing game.
I don’t want to talk about basics, you can find them all in wikipedia or other kind source.
Probablyl one of the most important thing in game are guilds. You can fight alone, so you should try to invite other to your party. History of multiplayer online games part 2

Hi again. Today i want to continue my previous topic. I was really busy all this month, anyway lets back to multiplayer online games. I remember also “The Realm Online”. This one was designed and developed by Sierra Online, several months after Meridian 59. This one i know very well, game has animated 2D graphics and real 2D combat, it was something really fresh back then, you can check official website right here. Well, game is old and it’s looking ugly, back it was top game then lol. Another interesting game was very popular, Ultima Online, released in 1997. This one is popular even now, check it out here
I played in “Ultima Online”, around 3 years from 1998 - 2001. Probably i still have somewhere login and password for Ultima heh, maybe i’ will check it after these years. Well, lets go forward. Next game was EverQuest, this multiplayer online game, completely revolutionized this genre of games.
Huge, fantastic 3D world, great classes and adventures, powerful magic items and terrible mobs - everything was awesome. Game was total hit and after few years, Sony released, second part….
Well, I’m off, cya later

ohh one more thing, check out this video about Ultima Online

to be contained (probably next time)
A.

Final Fantasy XIII

Welcome on Multiplayer Online Games! Did you heard something about Final Fantasy XIII? Well, I’m waiting also on 3 other related game set in the same FF XIII world. Games like: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII on PSP and Final Fantasy Versus on XIII, game aren’t related directly but all are set in new FF world. All these games are part of collection: Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII (from latin, “New Tale about Crystals”).

(Official Final Fantasy XIII trailer)

In Final Fantasy XIII, main character is named “Lighting” and is really beautiful girl wielding large gunblade (She looks like girl ver. of Cloud from FF VII), there is also guys named Snow Villiers and girl Sera. Game is prepared on special engine called Crystal Tools and it was specially created for console Playstation 3. The concept for FFXIII battle system is to maintain the strategic nature of command-based battles. I think it’s good they back to old strategic combat system.

For now is hard to say when Squere release FFXIII. In fact, first Squere will release game in Japan in 2009 and later in other regions or world so we must be very patient. Well, I hope game will be a lot better then FF XII I really don’t like it. Official website, connected to Squere Enix issued a statement reminding all consumers that any “confirmed release dates” reported by sources other than Square Enix are “erroneous and should be disregarded”. Oh well, time will tell how much time we wait till premiere…

See you again on Multiplayer Online Games!

History of multiplayer online games part 1

Welcome friends on my weblog! Well, today i want to add something about history of multiplayer online games. According to wikipedia, 1st graphic Internet game, was created and released by LucasArts in 1988 game. Game was called - “Club Caribe” on very advanced hi tec computer - Commodore 64 (back then it was like Playstation 3 today ;-)). I don’t know much about these games.
First MMORPG game was called “Neverwinter Nights”. Well, we all know remake. It was released by Atari and produced by BioWare (2001). I played a lot in this game heh…anyway
next cool game was called Meridian 59 and was created by 3DO company in 1996 (Yeah we all know them, remember all “Heroes of the Might and Magic” games or “Might and Magic” series of games? 3DO is almost legendary!).
Well, if you want to check it out, you can find more right here. My friend played a lot in these game, i remember that he actually fall asleep on the keyboard. Heh well, he was addicted back then… i must go now, anyway see you next time guys!

to be continued!

Few words about multiplayer online games

There are many very cool multiplayer online games, some of them are for free and some are for monyey. My first multiplayer online games, was popular game, Diablo 2 created by Blizzard Entertainment. I played many hours with my friends and brother online, as a Necromancer ;) well i play in Diablo 2 from time to time even know. Game is really alright because you don’t have to pay every month for subscription, these days you must pay for play in many online games.
My favorite multiplayer online games are also free ones, there are many to play online for absolutely no money.

games1

Another great multiplayer online game is also product from Blizzard and is called World of Warcraft. This game is one of my favorite. I don’t have much time to play in WoW now, but i really like this game.
World of Warcraft is now most popular pay-for-play game. Has already around 11 millions of gamers worldwide. Second most popular game is probably Warhammer Online with few millions gamers, it’s also very good game, but still is pay-for-play. You must pay around 15$ every month to play.

See you next time

World of Warcraft

Now we are leaving in era of World of Warcraft, best and most popular game in this genre of multiplayer online games - pay for play, and Maple Story, top free multiplayer online games. There are many other games, but these two are most popular. Why? It’s really hard to tell. World of Warcraft is very boring on higher levels, Maple Story can be totally boring, while you are grinding many enemies looking like Jellies or Mushrooms (i think i grind them for around 100 hours). Well, but each multiplayer game has one thing.

Totally awesome multiplayer experience. Playing with other player is really awesome and if you go back to games only single player, you feel difference.
Maybe i just run to much after new skills, levels or fancy items and i forget about this aspect of online gaming. Heh anyway if you are looking for interesting multiplayer online games, i will happily add something about them next time.

See you next time friends!
